Large diameter master alloy bar is cast in sections from 100 mm to 200 mm for foundries and melt shops in Türkiye, cut to the charging length in use and shipped from Changzhou to the container port the importer nominates.
A foundry that charges heavy bar is buying a different set of problems from one that charges 20 mm rounds. The mass of a single piece has to be lifted, the case has to carry it, and the cut has to be planned before the bundle is built. Those questions arrive with the enquiry, so they are settled on this page along with the destination.
Türkiye is one of the larger casting markets in the region, and lots bound for it leave from Changzhou against a port named by the importer. Ambarlı and Mersin, together with Aliağa, are the container gateways used for these consignments.

Three things move once the section passes 100 mm. A single piece gets heavier, so lifting and charging stop being a manual job. The mass in a case rises, so packing has to be built for the load rather than wrapped around it. And a thicker section takes longer to cut, which pushes the cut length into the scheduling conversation rather than leaving it to the packing stage. None of those are metallurgical questions, and all three change the quotation.
Heavy bar is cut to suit the furnace it will be charged into. If the melt shop works with pieces of a set length, that length is given on the order and the bar arrives ready to charge. Where the crucible takes a shorter piece, the cut is made at the works so the foundry does not have to break down a 200 mm section on its own floor. Piece mass is stated with the offer, since it decides the lifting gear and the crane time at the receiving end.
A consignment moves with a mill test certificate stating the composition of the lot, a packing list carrying the case numbers, a commercial invoice and a bill of lading, and a certificate of origin where the importer asks for one. Türkiye operates its own registration system covering certain product categories, and whether a particular lot falls inside it is settled with the importer's customs broker before the container is booked rather than after it arrives.
The customs union between Türkiye and the European Union rests on the status of goods in free circulation, and it covers industrial products. A lot shipped from China is subject to Türkiye's import rules on entry, and material that has cleared into free circulation in Türkiye can then move within the customs union against the applicable movement certificate. Buyers who also supply customers inside the European Union should confirm that treatment with their broker at the planning stage.
Heavy bar is bought by melt shops that need a larger addition per charge. The castings that follow reach aero engine work, turbocharger wheels for automotive use, pump bodies and valves for chemical service, and hardware for glass production, alongside general investment casting output.
The composition of each lot is checked against the grade agreed on the order, the surface is inspected for cracks and surface contamination, and internal soundness is assessed where the order asks for it. The certificate issued with the lot describes the material as packed, so a consignee can set the document against the cases on the quay and against the previous lot on a repeat order.

The grade series behind these sections is the cast grade series for high-temperature alloys used in the Chinese standard system. Composition limits for a cast are taken from the grade agreed on the order, and the chemistry of that cast is read against the inspection record held in the plant and the certificate released with it. Turkish container gateways are listed as they appear in current port rankings and trade reporting for the market.

Heavy bar is bundled, wrapped against moisture and packed into braced export wooden cases marked with the grade, the section and the lot number. A production lot is placed 15-30 days after order confirmation. Freight is quoted to the port named on the enquiry, on FOB, CFR or CIF terms, and the term is matched to the port the importer nominates.

Master alloy bar sits within the alloy supply of Changzhou DLX Alloy Co., Ltd., a works that has melted and processed alloys since 2002 and holds ISO 9001 with SGS auditing across a 12,000 m² site and an annual capacity of 10,000 tons. Customers in more than 60 export countries buy from that supply, and heavy sections are cast on the same basis as the rest of the bar line, with the composition agreed on the order.
Give the section, the cut length, the quantity and the port in Türkiye that suits your schedule.

Q: Which ports in Türkiye are used for delivery?
A: Ambarlı, Mersin and Aliağa are the container gateways used for these consignments, and freight is quoted to the port named on the enquiry.
Q: Which documents travel with a consignment?
A: A mill test certificate for the lot, the packing list with the case numbers, the commercial invoice and the bill of lading, with a certificate of origin added where the importer asks for one.
Q: Can heavy bar be cut to a shorter charging length?
A: Yes. The bar is cut at the works to the length the furnace takes, so a 200 mm section does not have to be broken down on the foundry floor.
Q: How is heavy bar packed for the sea leg?
A: It is bundled, wrapped against moisture and packed into braced wooden cases, with the section and the lot number on each case and case numbers that match the packing list.
Q: Is the piece mass given before the order?
A: Yes. Piece mass is stated per diameter and cut length, because it decides the lifting gear and the crane time at the receiving end.
Q: Does shipping from China affect onward movement inside the European Union?
A: A lot entering Türkiye is subject to Türkiye's import rules. Material cleared into free circulation there can then move within the Türkiye and European Union customs union, and the applicable certificate is settled with your broker.
Q: What is the minimum order quantity?
A: It follows from the section and the quantity needed, since those two set how much metal is melted for the lot.
Q: What is the delivery time?
A: A production lot is placed 15-30 days after order confirmation.
