Southeast Asia's instrumentation and process industries are scaling fast, and the capillary tubing they specify must hold its OD/ID tolerance batch after batch. Our nickel capillary tubes answer that requirement directly: seamless drawn, custom-cut to length, and available with custom OD/ID geometry locked against your drawing before production. High-purity N4 (≥99.9% Ni+Co) covers sensitive instrument and vacuum service, while Ni200, Ni201 and N6 broaden the price-performance range. Every order is produced on our own nickel-only line, inspected per batch and shipped with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates. ISO 9001 certified and SGS audited, with 7-15 day delivery for Southeast Asia shipments.
Capillary tubes are defined by their bore as much as their outside diameter, so OD, ID and wall thickness are produced strictly per drawing. Straight-cut lengths with deburred ends are standard; longer runs can be supplied in coils where the application allows. Tolerances are agreed before production and locked in the batch record, so incoming inspection at your facility matches what we shipped.
Capillary bores demand seamless drawn construction: a longitudinal weld seam disturbs flow, traps contamination and weakens thin-wall sections. Our seamless capillary is cold drawn from solid tube stock, which refines the bore surface and holds concentricity through the full length.
The annealed (soft) condition keeps capillary tubing formable for tight-radius bends and coils used in instrument lines and process loops; work-hardened tempers are available per drawing where stiffness is required. Bend radii, springback allowance and minimum wall retention should be confirmed against your drawing before production.
For thin-wall capillary, burst pressure follows the Barlow formula P = 2St/D, where S is allowable stress, t is wall thickness and D is outside diameter. With S = 100 MPa (assumed for annealed nickel, confirm per design code) and a 3.0 mm OD * 0.5 mm wall capillary, P = 2 * 100 * 0.5 / 3.0 = 33.3 MPa (calculated, indicative only).
Pure nickel resists caustic alkalis and hydrofluoric acid environments, which is why nickel capillary appears in process sampling and dosing lines. Corrosion behaviour depends on grade purity and service chemistry; specific media compatibility should be confirmed against the operating environment.
| Grade | Standard | Mill Documentation |
|---|---|---|
| Ni200 / Ni201 | ASTM B161 (seamless nickel pipe & tube); ASTM B163 (condenser & heat-exchanger tubes) | EN 10204 3.1 MTC, batch records |
| N4 (NP1) / N6 (NP2) | GB/T 2882-2023 (nickel and nickel alloy tubes) | EN 10204 3.1 MTC, batch records |
Both ASTM and GB/T documentation is prepared for customs and end-user verification; orders ship with mill test certificates and packing lists.
| Grade | Ni Content | Best Application | Reference Price (FOB, USD/kg) |
|---|---|---|---|
| N4 (NP1) | ≥99.9% | Vacuum electronics | 420-480 |
| Ni201 | ≥99.0% | High-temp service | 350-390 |
| Ni200 | ≥99.2% | Battery, chemical | 340-380 |
| N6 (NP2) | ≥99.5% | Industrial corrosion | 300-340 |
The bands above are indicative for standard tube sizes. Capillary precision sizes (custom OD/ID/wall, cut lengths) are quoted per drawing — grade, geometry, length and quantity determine the final price.

Every capillary batch is produced on our own nickel-only line and inspected in-house before packing: chemical composition analysis per batch, OD/ID/wall gauging, surface and end-condition checks, and straightness review on cut lengths. Batch numbers are recorded against the customer drawing so the material can be traced from melt to shipment, and EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates accompany each order.
Capillary tubes are bundled in protective sleeves with end protection, sealed in moisture-barrier wrap and packed in export wooden cases. Documentation — mill test certificate, batch records and packing list — travels with the shipment. Standard lead time is 7-15 days from confirmed drawing and order.
Specification discipline is what separates a capillary order from a commodity tube order, and it is the discipline DLX Alloy has practised since 2002. OD/ID, wall and cut length are locked against the customer drawing before melting, then held through drawing, annealing and final gauging on our own nickel-only line — 12,000 m² of floor space, 1,200 t/yr rated capacity, ISO 9001 certified and SGS audited. The result is batch-to-batch geometry that Southeast Asian instrument and process customers can rely on, backed by EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates on every shipment.
