Oil and gas equipment lives on pressure boundaries — hydraulic control lines, chemical injection strings and sampling capillaries carry process fluids at high pressure and aggressive chemistry. Our nickel capillary tubing is built for that duty: seamless drawn, custom-cut to length, and available with custom OD/ID geometry locked against your drawing before production. Grades are matched to service per documented best applications — N6 for industrial corrosion, Ni200 for chemical lines, Ni201 for high-temperature service. Every order is produced on our own nickel-only line, inspected per batch and shipped with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates; ISO 9001 certified, with 7-15 day delivery.
Industrial capillary runs are specified by bore, wall and installed length. OD, ID and wall thickness are produced strictly per drawing; straight-cut lengths with deburred ends suit manifold and panel installation, while longer control-line runs can be coiled where handling allows. Tolerances are agreed before production and locked in the batch record, so the tube that arrives matches the drawing you approved.
A longitudinal weld seam is a potential leak and fatigue path under the cyclic pressures found in hydraulic and injection service. Our seamless drawn capillary is cold drawn from solid tube stock, eliminating the seam and refining the bore surface so the tube holds concentricity across its full length.
For thin-wall capillary, burst pressure follows the Barlow formula P = 2St/D, where S is allowable stress, t is wall thickness and D is outside diameter. With S = 100 MPa (assumed for annealed nickel, confirm per design code) and a 2.0 mm OD * 0.3 mm wall capillary, P = 2 * 100 * 0.3 / 2.0 = 30 MPa (calculated, indicative only). Working pressure for your service is confirmed against the drawing and the applicable design code before production.
Pure nickel resists caustic alkalis and hydrofluoric acid environments, which is why nickel capillary appears in chemical injection and sampling lines. Corrosion behaviour depends on grade purity and service chemistry; specific media compatibility should be confirmed against the operating environment before final grade selection.
Ni201 is specified for high-temperature service, with the melting point of pure nickel at 1435-1446 °C. Annealed drawn tubing maintains clean, stable dimensions in heated process runs; maximum service temperature should be confirmed against the operating conditions and design code.
| Grade | Ni Content | Best Application | Oil & Gas Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| N6 (NP2) | ≥99.5% | Industrial corrosion | Process and corrosion-service lines |
| Ni200 | ≥99.2% | Battery, chemical | Chemical injection and dosing lines |
| Ni201 | ≥99.0% | High-temp service | Heated process and instrumentation runs |
| N4 (NP1) | ≥99.9% | Vacuum electronics | Sensitive instrumentation and sampling |
Grade selection is confirmed against service chemistry, pressure and temperature before production.
| Grade | Ni Content | Best Application | Reference Price (FOB, USD/kg) |
|---|---|---|---|
| N4 (NP1) | ≥99.9% | Vacuum electronics | 420-480 |
| Ni201 | ≥99.0% | High-temp service | 350-390 |
| Ni200 | ≥99.2% | Battery, chemical | 340-380 |
| N6 (NP2) | ≥99.5% | Industrial corrosion | 300-340 |
The bands above are indicative for standard tube sizes. Capillary precision sizes (custom OD/ID/wall, cut lengths) are quoted per drawing — grade, geometry, length and quantity determine the final price.

Each batch is made on our own nickel-only line and inspected in-house: per-batch chemical composition analysis, OD/ID/wall gauging, surface and end-condition checks, and straightness review on cut lengths. Batch numbers tie the material back to the drawing from melt to shipment, and EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates accompany every order.

Tubing is bundled in protective sleeves with end caps, wrapped against moisture and packed in export wooden cases with cushioning for long process-line lengths. Mill test certificates, batch records and packing lists ship with every order. Standard lead time is 7-15 days from confirmed drawing.

Oil and gas procurement rarely trusts a blank certificate, which is why DLX Alloy ships every capillary order with the evidence a process engineer expects. Since 2002 we have run a nickel-only mill — melting, drawing, annealing and in-house inspection across 12,000 m² of floor space with 1,200 t/yr rated capacity, ISO 9001 certified and SGS audited. Each batch carries composition analysis, dimensional records and EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates, so your incoming inspection can close the loop without phone calls.
N6 (≥99.5% Ni+Co) for industrial corrosion, Ni200 for chemical lines, Ni201 for high-temperature service, and N4 (≥99.9%) for sensitive instrumentation. Final selection is confirmed against service chemistry and design pressure.
Yes. Seamless drawn construction and pressure rating are verified by Barlow calculation against your drawing, then confirmed per design code before production.
