1. Seawater Service

Actual performance in seawater depends on temperature, flow velocity and aeration, so the grade and wall schedule are confirmed against the specific installation. 2. High-Temperature Resistance

At elevated temperature, carbon content decides whether the material keeps its ductility. Ni201 holds carbon at or below 0.02%, limiting carbide precipitation and the embrittlement that follows — which is why it is specified for high-temperature service.
