1. Selection of compensation wire
The compensation wire must be selected correctly based on the type of thermocouple used and the occasion in which it is used. For example, the compensation wire of the k-type couple should be selected, and the operating temperature range should be selected according to the usage situation. Usually, the working temperature of kx is -20~100 ℃, with a wide range of -25~200 ℃. The ordinary level error is ± 2.5 ℃, and the precision level error is ± 1.5 ℃.
2. Contact connection
Try to be as close as possible to the two contacts of the thermocouple terminal and maintain the temperature of the two contacts as consistent as possible. The temperature at the connection point with the instrument terminal should be as consistent as possible. Where there is a fan in the instrument cabinet, the contact point should be protected so that the fan does not blow directly to the contact point.
3. Use length
Because the signal of the thermocouple is very low, at the microvolt level, if the distance used is too long, the attenuation of the signal and the interference of strong electricity in the environment can couple, which can cause the signal of the thermocouple to be distorted, causing inaccurate measurement and control of temperature, and causing temperature fluctuations in severe cases during control.
Based on our experience, it is usually better to control the length of the thermocouple compensation wire within 15 meters. If it exceeds 15 meters, it is recommended to use a temperature transmitter for signal transmission. The temperature transmitter converts the potential value corresponding to the temperature into direct current for transmission, with strong anti-interference ability.
