Nickel-Chrome Nickel-Silicon Nickel-Aluminum Thermocouple Extension Cable 0.5*2
Thermocouple compensation wires are wires used to connect thermocouples and measuring instruments. Due to the weak voltage signal generated by thermocouples and their susceptibility to environmental temperature changes, it is necessary to use thermocouple compensation wires for temperature compensation to ensure measurement accuracy.
The main functions of thermocouple compensation wires are as follows:
Temperature compensation: Thermocouple compensation wires can provide corresponding voltage signal compensation based on environmental temperature changes, eliminating the impact of temperature changes on measurement results.
Protection of thermocouples: Thermocouple compensation wires can protect thermocouples from mechanical damage, corrosion, and other factors, extending their service life.
Transmission signal: The thermocouple compensation wire can transmit the weak voltage signal generated by the thermocouple to the measuring instrument, achieving accurate temperature measurement.
Type K Extension Cable 0.5*2 red black pvc insulation with pvc sheath. The conduct is thermocouple type K material which is nickel-chrome with nickel-siliconor nickel-aluminum. The construction is similar to pair instrumentation cable but the conductor material is different. Thermocouples are used in processes to sense temperature and is connected to the pyrometers for indication and control. The thermocouple and pyrometer are electrically conducted by thermocouple extension cables / thermocouple compensating cables. The conductors used for these thermocouple cables are required to have similar thermo-electric (emf) properties as that of the thermocouple used for sensing the temperature.
Basically, Fine Wire Thermocouple grade wires are used to make sensing points of thermocouples. However, a Thermocouple Extension Wire is only used to extend a thermocouple signal back from the probe to the instrument reading it. A thermocouple Extension Cable is used in lower ambient temperatures. It may pass a signal representing a higher temperature than it received from the probe. However, Type K Thermocouple Extension Wire may not be physically exposed to that high temperature. A Stranded Thermocouple Wire can be used as an extension wire but an extension wire cannot be used in a Flexible Thermocouple Wire as a sensing point. The usable length of these wires differs based on numerous factors.
