India's battery, electronics and chemical supply chains are scaling fast — and buyers there order nickel wire by UNS number because it leaves no room for grade ambiguity. This UNS N02201 (Ni201) pure nickel wire, drawn from 0.025 mm to 10 mm, is the low-carbon member of the nickel 200/201 family: minimum 99.0% Ni with carbon capped at 0.02%, so it keeps ductility and resists carbide-related embrittlement when components run hot. Ni200 (UNS N02200) is available on the same line when a more economical grade fits, and export orders to India ship with EN 10204 3.1 mill certificates and batch records.

UNS N02201 (Ni201) and UNS N02200 (Ni200) share the same corrosion and conductivity profile — the difference is carbon: Ni201 at ≤0.02%, Ni200 at ≤0.15%. That gap matters above roughly 315°C: higher carbon can precipitate at grain boundaries over time, reducing ductility in long hot service. Specify Ni201 for wire that runs hot — heater leads, furnace components, sealed assemblies — and Ni200 where service is room-temperature or intermittent, at a lower cost per kg. Both are commercial-purity nickel, not alloys, and both weld cleanly in resistance and TIG processes.
| Form | Size Range | Temper |
|---|---|---|
| Wire (round) | 0.025-10 mm | Soft / Hard / 1/2 Hard |
Note: micro wire (≤0.05 mm) is available at a 1 kg MOQ; standard wire sizes start at a 5 kg MOQ. The thickness and dimensions can be produced to customer requirements — submit your drawing for confirmation.

UNS N02201 is the unified designation for Ni201 — minimum 99.0% nickel, carbon ≤0.02%, with copper, iron, manganese and silicon each capped at 0.35% or below. Ordering by UNS number fixes the chemistry contract between buyer and mill: the EN 10204 3.1 certificate states the batch's actual composition against the UNS limits, so the wire you receive is the grade you specified.
For hot service — heater elements, furnace leads, thermocouple-adjacent hardware — Ni201 (UNS N02201) is the grade to specify because low carbon preserves ductility through thermal cycling. For room-temperature structural and current-carrying wire, Ni200 (UNS N02200) gives the same corrosion and conductivity at a lower price point. If your drawing does not state a UNS number, send it to us and we will confirm the grade against your service conditions.
Wire is drawn from 0.025 mm micro sizes to 10 mm, in soft, hard or 1/2 hard temper, with dimensional tolerances locked per drawing at order confirmation. Annealed soft temper suits winding and forming; hard or 1/2 hard holds shape in self-supporting leads. Specify diameter, temper and tolerance on your inquiry and the quote will be confirmed against them.
Ni200/Ni201 wire is supplied to ASTM B164; N4/N6 wire to GB/T 21653. Export orders to India ship with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates covering chemical composition, dimensions and mechanical properties, plus batch test records for traceability. Standards are stated on the certificate so your incoming inspection can verify against ASTM or GB references directly.

Every batch passes chemical composition analysis, dimensional measurement, mechanical property testing and surface inspection before release. Test records are retained and the EN 10204 3.1 mill certificate on export orders states the batch composition against the UNS limits — the document your incoming inspection in India will verify against.

Micro and fine wire is wound on spools and packed in carton boxes; larger diameters are supplied as coils in polybags or on spools as requested. Delivery is 7-15 days for standard production, 3-7 days for small in-stock quantities, and 15-30 days for complex custom requirements confirmed against your drawing. Export packaging and documentation are prepared for India shipments.
Importing nickel wire to India works smoothly when the paperwork matches the metal — which is why every export order from our line ships with EN 10204 3.1 mill certificates and batch records that your inspection can verify against the UNS limits. DLX has run a nickel-only line since 2002, with ISO 9001 & SGS certified systems, 12,000 m² of plant, 10,000 t/yr capacity and export experience across 60+ countries.

UNS N02201 is Ni201: minimum 99.0% nickel with carbon ≤0.02%, copper ≤0.25%, iron ≤0.40%, silicon and manganese ≤0.35% each. The EN 10204 3.1 certificate states the batch composition against these limits.
For wire that runs above roughly 315°C, specify Ni201 (UNS N02201) — low carbon preserves ductility where Ni200's higher carbon can precipitate at grain boundaries. For room-temperature service, Ni200 (UNS N02200) is the economical choice.
Round wire from 0.025 mm to 10 mm, in soft, hard or 1/2 hard temper. Tolerances are locked per drawing at order confirmation; micro sizes (≤0.05 mm) are drawn to the tight end of the range.
EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates covering chemical composition, dimensions and mechanical properties, plus batch test records. Standards (ASTM B164 / GB/T 21653) are stated on the certificate for your incoming inspection.
Micro wire (≤0.05 mm) starts at 1 kg; standard wire at 5 kg. Samples are free for N6/Ni200 (0.5 kg); Ni201 and N4 samples are charged and refunded on a first order of 50 kg or more.
Standard production ships in 7-15 days; small in-stock quantities in 3-7 days; complex custom requirements in 15-30 days after drawing confirmation. Export packaging and documentation are included.
