26650 packs that draw higher current per cell need a welding strip with low resistance and a clean, repeatable weld surface — this 3P pure nickel welding strip in 0.05x5 mm is made from Ni200 (Ni ≥99.2%) with 0.096 μΩ·m resistivity, cut and punched for three parallel connections. Free 0.5 kg samples let you qualify the strip on your own welder before committing to production quantities.
Three materials dominate battery tab welding, and they are not interchangeable. Pure nickel (this strip) welds reliably, resists corrosion, and holds stable resistance over time — the choice for quality-first packs. Nickel-plated steel costs less but the coating can crack or rust, and weld consistency depends on plating quality. CuNi composite strip lowers resistance further with a copper core, at higher cost and different weld behaviour. Match the material to your pack's current, lifetime and quality target; pure nickel is the balanced default for 26650-class cells.
| Thickness | 0.05 mm (0.05-0.5 mm range) |
| Width | 5 mm (2-15 mm battery width) |
| Pattern | 3P (1P-9P available) |
| Cell Compatibility | 26650 (18650 / 21700 / 32650 on request) |
| Grade | Ni200 (Ni ≥99.2%) |
A 26650 cell carries more current than an 18650, so the tab strip must spread that current across parallel weld points. The 3P pattern places three weld lands per connection, balancing current sharing and reducing per-weld heating. Pattern pitch and land geometry are punched per your pack layout, with 2P-9P available for other configurations.
0.05 mm thickness and 5 mm width sit at the thin end of the strip range, where thickness tolerance matters most — a few microns change weld energy absorption. The strip is rolled and slit on our nickel-only line, then checked per batch, so the thin section feeds the welder with consistent cross-section and surface condition.
Ni200 (Ni ≥99.2%) welds cleanly with conventional spot welding settings and forms a solid metallurgical bond to nickel and nickel-plated terminals. Because resistivity and surface stay uniform along the coil, the weld-energy window set at the start of a spool holds to the end — the property pack lines depend on for 26650 runs.
The 0.5 kg sample you qualify is cut from the same production flow and carries the same batch records as a full order. Composition, dimension and surface checks follow the same procedure, so the weld behaviour you approve on the sample is what ships in volume.
Price follows grade: Ni200 340-380 USD/kg FOB; custom widths and patterns are quoted per drawing.

Composition is verified against the catalog, geometry against your drawing, and surface and dimensions are inspected per batch on our nickel-only line. Final records are issued per EN 10204 3.1 on request.

Dimensions and material per ASTM B162 (Nickel Plate, Sheet and Strip) and GB/T 2072-2020 (Nickel and Nickel Alloy Strip and Foil); export documentation per EN 10204 3.1.
Material data on this page follows ASTM B162 and GB/T 2072-2020; physical-property and corrosion guidance references the ASM Specialty Handbook: Nickel, Cobalt, and Their Alloys (ASM International) and Nickel Institute application guidance; batch-level composition and geometry are verified against mill test certificates (EN 10204 3.1) and in-house inspection records.
Strip is coiled with edge protection and packed in export cartons or wooden cases. Lead time: 3-7 days for stock and small orders, 7-15 days for standard production, 15-30 days for complex custom work per drawing.

A strip that welds the same on day one and day ten thousand is built on process control, not luck. Changzhou DLX Alloy Co., Ltd. has run a nickel-only line since 2002 in a 12,000 m2 plant with 10,000 t/yr capacity, ISO 9001 certified, and treats every 0.05x5 mm spool — sample or production — to the same composition and geometry checks.
Request your free sample and drawing confirmation before production.
3P suits packs needing three parallel weld paths per connection, common in higher-current 26650 layouts; 1P-9P patterns are available per your pack design.
The thin, narrow section is built for spot welding of cylindrical cells; confirm your weld current and we will verify the gauge against your joint.
Send your pack drawing or cell spacing — pitch, land width and pattern are punched to your layout and verified on the sample.
Ni200 is the standard welding strip grade; Ni201 (low carbon) is available where elevated-temperature service is expected.
Ni200/N6 samples are free up to 0.5 kg; confirm width and pattern, and the sample ships with the same batch records as production.
MOQ is 5 kg; delivery is 3-7 days for stock and small orders, 7-15 days for standard production, and 15-30 days for complex custom work per drawing.
