Seven Years in Changzhou, and a New Office

DLX Alloy marked two things on 1 April 2023. The Changzhou office entered its seventh year, and the team moved into new premises on the same day.

Seven Years in Changzhou

The Changzhou office opened in 2016, which makes 2023 its seventh year. The company is older than the office: DLX Alloy has produced nickel and nickel alloy products since 2002. Sales for the preceding year passed USD 10 million, and the two events were recorded together because they arrived on the same date.

What the Move Changes

An office move is an address change and a logistics exercise. For a manufacturer selling abroad it is also a question of continuity, because the office carries the commercial side of the business: enquiries, quotations, and the export documents that travel with a shipment. Moving premises is a smaller event than it looks, provided the team moves with the desks, and here it did.

A buyer's point of contact does not change with the premises. That is the part that matters while an order is running, and it is the reason the announcement is worth making at all.

What Stays the Same

Production is unchanged. DLX Alloy produces nickel and nickel alloy products at Changzhou, Jiangsu, in a plant of more than 12,000 m² rated at 10,000 t/yr and certified to ISO 9001 with SGS audits.

What a buyer receives is set by the process and not by the office. A quotation states the grade, the standard, the form, the size and tolerance, the condition and the delivery band, and every lot is released with a mill certificate for the heat it came from. None of that follows an address.
