Team's Yunnan Trip

The DLX Alloy team marked a sales milestone in April 2023 with a six-day trip to Yunnan. The trip followed the team sales total passing USD 10 million.

The Milestone Behind the Trip

A sales total of USD 10 million is a cumulative figure, built from orders placed by buyers in different markets over several years. It measures the order book and the team that works it, and the company marked the milestone by taking the team away for six days.

Six Days in Yunnan

Yunnan lies in the southwest of China, bordering Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam, and the province runs from old lowland towns up to high mountain country. Both photographs were taken during the six days, one at a temple stupa and the other at a 4,680 m altitude marker.

The Team Behind the Orders

The trip was a break in the calendar, and the desks that answer enquiries, quotations and inspection questions returned to the usual schedule afterwards. A buyer works with the same team from the first enquiry through to the certificate for the heat, which is what keeps an order that runs across several weeks traceable to one set of people.

DLX Alloy has produced nickel alloys at Changzhou, Jiangsu since 2002, in a plant of more than 12,000 m² rated at 10,000 t/yr, certified to ISO 9001 with SGS audits.
